Curiosity takes its place

There is an openness, willingness and curiosity at Prevas that I wasn't used to before. I was so happy about it. Here people want to help each other and are curious about each other – regardless of region. Using each other's expertise is both sustainable and creates greater value for our customers.

My trip to Prevas

I trained as a multimedia engineer at LTH between 1997 and 2000 and then started working at a consulting company. Life was fun – until the IT crash. I fought to keep my job and stayed for almost 15 years, mainly as a project manager and consulting manager.

Eager for new perspectives, I took the step to a digital agency before I quickly jumped on the Prevas train. Here I get to combine my interest in technology with my focus on the user. It really feels like I’ve found home.

Flexibility and consideration in everyday life

Prevas’ work culture is flexible. I can work from home, in the office or out at a customer’s – whatever suits me best. Putting life’s work together is easy here. Sometimes I work a lot one day so I can go home earlier the next.

I really feel that Prevas cares about us as whole people, not just as employees. Wellness activities such as lunchtime yoga, running and lectures on health show that our well-being is prioritized.

My leadership and development at Prevas

I hope that others see me as a listening leader who would rather highlight others than take a place myself. My leadership is coaching – I create conditions rather than point the way. At Prevas, it is needed, because the level of expertise is so high.

Here, we see career development as a climbing wall, not a ladder. This means that you can climb sideways, diagonally upwards or try something new. The most important thing is that the opportunity exists – and that you have a team behind you.

A lot of my own development happens in everyday life, in problem solving and through our leadership networks and training courses. There are always new perspectives to learn from and colleagues to be inspired by.

The flexibility at Prevas means that both work and life really go hand in hand.

It is technology that drives development – but it is the users who create the value.
