New automation workshop

We bring the power of automation under one roof

New workshop in Västerås – strengthens delivery capacity and reduces commissioning time.

Opens up to new types of projects

To meet the growing need for complex automation solutions, Prevas has made a strategic investment in a new workshop at the Tunby industrial estate in Västerås. The new 3,000 square meter facility – with 2,000 square meter workshop and 1,000 square meter office – is tailored to gather automation expertise, shorten project lead times and create better flows between technology, people and solutions.

- With designers and assemblers under the same roof, it becomes easier to solve problems and test solutions together. This increases knowledge transfer and makes projects both faster and better, says Sandra Hansson, Head of Robotic Automation Solutions at Prevas.

Test, build and verify – on site

The workshop builds and tests, among other things, robot cells, control systems, electrical cabinets and special machines. A significant part of the work – sometimes up to 80% – can now be carried out before the equipment reaches the customer's facility. The result: faster installation, shorter commissioning and reduced impact on ongoing production.

- We have several customers who come to us to verify their solutions before delivery. This strengthens our overall responsibility – from idea and design to the finished, commissioned solution, says Ali Akbar, Head of Process Automation at Prevas.

Better working environment – and greater flexibility

The premises are designed with a focus on safety, capacity and the future. With heavy-lift traverses and generous ceiling height, a safer and more efficient working environment is created for fitters and technicians.

- In our previous premises, we needed to lift with a forklift, which was both cumbersome and involved work environment risks. Now we have a solution that is built for our reality, says Mattias Axner, Head of Installation.

The flexible layout in the workshop also makes it possible to quickly adapt the spaces to the needs of the projects – from smaller units to entire production lines. This creates a capacity that was previously lacking, and opens doors to new types of assignments.

A strategic investment for the future

With nearly 40 years of experience in industrial development, Prevas continues to grow as a comprehensive partner in automation, robotics and production systems. The new facility in Västerås is a clear step towards increased delivery capacity, more efficient project execution and even stronger customer collaborations.
