DRW
Focus on the user experience – the key to success
DRW's goal was to enable on-site HIV testing and to be able to adjust medication in the field – with a particular focus on Africa. Together with our design expertise and a strong focus on user needs, a solution was developed that worked in reality. The result was an accurate and useful product – in a market where the demands are high and the conditions are challenging.
Design partner from the start
Myra (a part of Prevas) was commissioned as a design partner in the development of SAMBA II – an advanced analytical instrument that quickly and reliably measures HIV viral levels in blood. This innovative solution has the potential to transform healthcare in resource-poor settings and help reduce the number of new HIV infections in children. Through early detection, SAMBA II empowers healthcare professionals to act directly – on the spot – and slow the spread of infection before it is too late.

The instrument enables care even in the most challenging and resource-limited environments.

Ease of use for everyone
The design was based on creating a user experience that was both intuitive and easy to understand – regardless of the user’s prior knowledge or technical background. The focus was on making the handling, graphics and interface as simple as possible, in line with the product’s purpose and patented technology. The result is a tool that works in everyday life, even where resources are limited.
A uniform design in every detail
To strengthen DRW's brand, a consistent design language was created that permeates the entire customer experience – from product and packaging to interfaces and communication materials. The unified design has been crucial in establishing DRW as a professional and reliable alternative in an important and demanding market.
