One of the most common accidents among older adults is falling. But what if these falls could be detected – and alerts sent instantly to loved ones?
Now, that’s possible. With a smart watch that detects falls and pinpoints where they happen, help can be on the way in seconds. The watch connects to a smartphone acting as a gateway to a central system, which notifies family members or dedicated response centers. Feedback can then be sent directly to the person who fell. This way, we can better support our elderly – helping them feel safe, stay connected, and continue living with dignity and freedom in their own homes.
From Idea to Product – Together with Prevas
Together with the customer, Prevas has developed the electronics and software for the smart watch – which, in its design, looks just like a regular unisex wristwatch.
We’ve also built the entire backend service for alarm management and integration with family members and response centers, along with the mobile apps and user experience.
