What we can help you with
Navigating the demands and opportunities surrounding quality, the environment and the work environment requires both a holistic approach and specialist knowledge. We combine technical expertise with a warm, committed approach — always with a focus on creating long-term results for both people and the business.
We support you all the way, from analysis and strategy work to practical implementation and improvement. With proven methods and a genuine desire to make a difference, we help you develop a safer, more sustainable and business-driven organization.
Machine safety
We help ensure that your machine and machine combination meet the requirements of the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC) safely and smoothly. The CE marking indicates that the machine meets the safety requirements set for it – we help build this whole thing from start to finish.
We compile the documentation required for the CE marking, such as design documents, manufacturing drawings and strength calculations. We also prepare the key documents of the technical file, such as risk assessments, operating and maintenance instructions and declarations of conformity.
We utilize machine type-specific harmonized standards in our work and apply them based on the risk assessment already in the design phase. We also take other directives that affect safety, such as ATEX and PED requirements, into account in the overall process and ensure that they are integrated into the technical documentation correctly and efficiently.
We are involved in making machines and automation solutions safer in a practical way and in cooperation with the customer. Our goal is to make compliance clear, manageable and business-friendly.
Our services include:
Risk assessment
Control system safety (PL and SIL)
Machine instructions and spare parts lists
Declaration of conformity
Requirements analysis and documentation compilation
Documentation of machine changes
Inspections and testing
Chemical & plant safety
We help identify and manage safety risks in industrial sites before they become problems. We use, for example, the HAZOP method in risk assessment, which helps us find critical points and target measures where they have the greatest impact.
Our goal is to ensure a safe working environment, smooth operations and environmental risk management in accordance with the requirements of Finnish chemical legislation. We combine technical expertise, practical experience and clear documentation so that safety solutions also support business continuity and development.
We offer expert support for process safety planning and documentation, especially in accordance with the SFS-EN 61508 functional safety standard. We design and document safety-related systems (TLJ) throughout the entire life cycle – from risk analysis to commissioning and maintenance. Documentation helps identify critical functions and ensure that safety requirements (SIL) are met at all stages.
We also help with the preparation of documentation related to chemical notifications and permit processes. The package may include, for example, chemical inventories, hazard assessments, storage plans, spill management and internal rescue plans.
Our chemical, plant and process safety services support safer, more responsible and more efficient industrial operations.
Our services include:
Chemical spill management at chemical loading and unloading sites Discover our offering.
Risk assessments and management (including HAZOP)
TLJ documentation according to the SFS EN 61508 life cycle model
Chemical permit issues and documentation
Occupational safety and work environment
A safe working environment is created by proactive action, clear practices and cooperation. We help companies build safety that supports both the well-being of personnel and the smooth running of business.
The Occupational Safety Act requires the identification of hazards in the working environment, risk assessment and ensuring safe operating methods. We support your organization by assessing the risks related to work tasks, work equipment and the working environment and by defining practical safety measures together with your personnel.
We also help with the safety management of work equipment and the requirements related to periodic inspections in accordance with Government Decree 403/2008. Clear risk management creates the foundation for safe and efficient working.
We prepare work and safety instructions and orientation materials that support uniform operating methods in everyday work. Well-planned orientation helps reduce risks, strengthens the safety culture and makes safety part of daily operations.
In construction projects, we help you fulfill your construction safety obligations in a systematic and practical way. We prepare project-specific safety documents and related safety rules and procedures in accordance with Government Decree 205/2009.
We also offer you the services of a statutory safety coordinator. The safety coordinator ensures smooth cooperation between different parties, keeps safety-related documentation up-to-date and monitors the implementation of safety on the construction site in practice.
Together, we build safer work environments where people, projects and business can succeed.
Our services include:
Work risk assessment
Work and safety instructions
Introduction materials
Construction project safety document
Safety rules and procedures
Safety coordinator services
Explosion & ATEX protection
We help ensure that your premises, production equipment and processes meet the safety requirements for explosive environments. When flammable gases, liquids or dusts are handled in the work environment, safety management starts with identifying the risks and finding the right solutions.
We assess processes with an explosion hazard and carry out ATEX room classifications in accordance with the applicable requirements. We also prepare explosion protection documents that describe the explosion hazards in the workplace and the protective measures related to their management before the premises are put into operation.
We offer expert support for equipment selection and electrical and machine design in ATEX environments. We also carry out machine and electrical installations and ensure that machines and process equipment operate safely in accordance with the room classifications and requirements.
Together, we build safe and reliable solutions that support both personnel safety and production continuity.
Our services include:
Explosion protection document
Premises classifications and emission sources
Ignition risk assessment
Electrical design, installation and documentation
Machine and equipment design, installation and documentation
Construction products
When new machines are purchased for production or existing equipment is updated, new load-bearing structures are often also needed around them. The safe and high-quality implementation of these structures is an important part of a functioning production environment – and in many cases also meeting official requirements. At Prevas, we ensure that the steel and concrete structures implemented in connection with machine and equipment installations meet the requirements of the EU Construction Products Regulation (EU No. 305/2011) and industry standards.
We are involved in every stage of a construction project, from the first plans to the finished implementation. We help with building permit processes, structural design, procurement, inspections and commissioning. Together with the customer, we find solutions that support safe, sustainable and efficient production – now and in the future.
Our services include:
Building permit services
Cost calculation and estimates
Design of steel and concrete structures in new and renovation projects
Strength calculations according to Eurocodes
Conformity assessment and verification of structures
Construction site services and supervision
Environment & sustainability
Sustainable development is created through practical actions and functional solutions. Prevas offers versatile environmental and sustainability services that help companies meet the demands of a changing operating environment and build a more responsible future. Our services include, among others, regulatory investigations, permit matters and expert support for sustainability reporting for SMEs.
We help ensure that your operations meet the requirements of environmental legislation and proceed smoothly also from the perspective of regulatory processes. We prepare and update environmental permit applications and other necessary documents, such as contingency plans. We also support our customers in promoting the circular economy and the reuse of materials, for example through EEJ applications.
Environmental risk management starts with foresight. We assess the environmental impacts of your operations and design solutions that can reduce risks and improve resource efficiency. In practice, this can mean, for example, a more responsible choice of materials and chemicals, developing waste and wastewater management or increasing energy efficiency. Carefully planned measures support safe and sustainable operations in the long term.
We also offer emission calculations in accordance with the SFS-EN ISO 14067:2018 standard and help with the assessment of emissions during the life cycle of products. In addition, we support small and medium-sized enterprises in voluntary sustainability reporting (VSME) to make sustainability work clear, effective and business-supportive.

Energy & efficiency
Understanding energy use is the first step towards more efficient and responsible operations. A company's energy audit provides a clear overview of the energy consumption of a group or company's locations and helps identify where the greatest savings opportunities lie.
With the audit, we find cost-effective ways to improve energy efficiency and assess the concrete savings to be achieved and the necessary measures. At the same time, benefits are created that are visible not only in energy costs but also in production efficiency, environmental impacts and the company's image of responsibility.
Prevas' experts ensure that energy audits are carried out smoothly and in accordance with applicable legislation. Our responsible person, authorized by the Energy Authority, ensures that the mandatory energy audit of a large company every four years and the site audits meet the requirements of the Energy Efficiency Act, Government Decrees and the guidelines of the Ministry of Employment and the Economy.
Together, we find solutions that make energy use more efficient - and business more sustainable.
Our services include:
Large company energy audits
Site audits
