Machine Vision & Robotics

We develop customized Machine Vision solutions that streamline production, improve quality and increase profitability. With AI, image analysis and robotics, we solve complex challenges – quickly and precisely.

What Machine Vision means to us

Machine Vision is more than just cameras – it is the ability to interpret, understand and act on visual data in real time. We develop tailor-made solutions that identify, measure, inspect and control – quickly, accurately and repeatably.

We solve challenges in quality control, positioning, pick-and-place, graphic reading and geometry control. Our systems are used both as integrated parts in existing production lines and as stand-alone production cells. We take responsibility for the whole – from idea and development to commissioning and support.

Why invest in Machine Vision?

In many businesses, high quality, traceability and rapid adaptability are essential to remain competitive. Manual inspection is no longer enough as volumes increase and tolerances decrease. Machine Vision provides a solution that both improves and automates – with higher accuracy and lower cost.

What we can help you with

We offer a complete portfolio of Machine Vision solutions, tailored to your needs.

Automated defect detection that surpasses human precision.

Ensures correct assembly and shape already in production.

Laying the foundation for automation, robotics and traceability.

High precision in picking and sorting directly from belts or boxes.

For secure traceability, labeling and production monitoring.

Thanks to our brand-neutral approach, we always choose the hardware that best matches your solution. We work with COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) components – proven, robust and cost-effective hardware that is easy to upgrade and integrate.

When standard solutions are not enough, we also develop our own sensors and camera systems, fully adapted to your specific requirements.

Intelligent Vision Platform

With our Intelligent Vision Platform (IVP), you get a system that is adaptable, scalable and ready for future requirements. The platform includes support for AI training, data storage and traceability, as well as an intuitive user interface that makes it easy to adjust the system as needed.

Non-contact measurement

In many production environments, it is crucial to be able to control quality early in the process – the earlier deviations are detected, the greater the savings. However, limitations in space, speed or methodology can make traditional measurement difficult to implement.

This is where non-contact measurement technology becomes a powerful tool. By using light-based methods such as camera technology, laser profiling or structured light, we can measure, locate and analyze without touching the product.

Typical applications for non-contact measurement include location and positioning, defect analysis, dimensional measurement and verification.

Our team

Since 1985, we have been developing advanced Machine Vision and automation solutions. Our specialists work at the interface between AI, optics, mechatronics and programming – and it is in the complex challenges that we make the biggest difference.

Whether you need a standalone solution, an embedded system or an entire production cell combined with robotics, we deliver with a focus on precision, customization and profitability.

Sorting, Picking and Quality Control

We’ve developed an automated system that combines machine vision and robotics to sort, pick and place somatic embryos (spruce). Each embryo is analysed with high precision, healthy specimens are identified and handled with great care – all without manual intervention.

The solution replaces repetitive manual tasks and makes the production process faster, more accurate, and cost-efficient. For the customer, this means more consistent quality, lower production costs and the ability to scale up plant propagation in a sustainable way – ultimately supporting faster reforestation.

Bending inspection

In a short time, we developed a complete vision system for automatic inspection in production. The system was built with two Firewire cameras, lighting, control electronics and PC software – and was used to check that no copper surfaces were exposed when bending a tinned component leg.

The operator could easily adjust threshold values and other parameters in the software, which made the system both flexible and user-friendly. At the same time, statistics were stored in a database.

Quality control of tiles, in 2D and 3D (TQC)

Vision system in harsh environments with Firewire cameras and audio analysis. The system (Tile Quality Control, TQC) is used for inspection/quality control in roof tile manufacturing, both in 2D and 3D. The size of the tiles is checked, and defects in the surface and edges are detected using cameras, where micrometer-thin cracks are revealed. In addition, audio analysis is used to detect hidden cracks inside the tile.

The software is written in C++ using DirectShow and Microsoft Visual Studio.
